Service Description: This dynamic vector map service provides generalized boundaries of national parks in the Poloniny–Bieszczady cross-border region of Slovakia and Poland.
The layer includes the national park areas relevant to the RETROCHANGE study area, including Poloniny National Park in Slovakia and Bieszczadzki National Park in Poland.
The original boundary geometries were generalized for cartographic visualization and use as a contextual reference layer in RETROCHANGE web maps, GIS applications, and analytical workflows.
The layer is intended to provide spatial context for historical KH-9 satellite imagery and for analyses of forest cover, landscape change, forest fragmentation, and other RETROCHANGE outputs.
Because the geometries have been generalized, the boundaries may differ from current official or legally defined protected-area boundaries. The dataset should not be used for legal, administrative, cadastral, or regulatory purposes.
