 "description": "This cached map service provides georeferenced high-resolution KH-9 HEXAGON satellite imagery acquired in 1975 and covering the Poloniny\u2013Bieszczady\u2013Ukrainian Carpathians cross-border region of Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine.\nThe original declassified satellite imagery was obtained from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center. The imagery was georeferenced and processed by the Technical University in Zvolen within the RETROCHANGE project.\nThe service uses the S-JTSK / Krovak East North coordinate reference system (EPSG:5514) and a predefined tile cache optimized for fast map visualization. It is intended primarily for desktop GIS, national and regional geospatial applications, and workflows using S-JTSK / Krovak East North.\nThe dataset is intended for retrospective forest and landscape change analysis, historical land-cover mapping, forest monitoring, forest fragmentation and edge analysis, and comparison with contemporary geospatial datasets.\nPositional accuracy may vary spatially due to the characteristics of historical satellite imagery and the georeferencing process.
